a little about me…

Images... they’re literally everywhere.

There’s an image waiting to be discovered within every scene.

Hello, I’m James, and I’m a Photographer. I’ve been a photographer (personal historian, photojournalist, portrait artist, documentarian, etc.) for a quite a few years. Okay, 40+ years to be reasonably exact. How does one work at a profession for so many years? Pretty simple; to start, something you love as much as I love the craft of photography should never be called work. Then there’s passion; the passion to continue to learn, study, compete, and teach others to practice this wonderful craft. On top of it all, it’s been nothing but fun. Even the most difficult and challenging assignments have been a joy to take on.

Yes, I’m a photographer, but I prefer to say I’m a Visual Storyteller. I’m always looking to uncover a story within each image. The stories are everywhere. For my clients, it is their story. It’s my challenge to reveal them. To me, it’s most important that I present each individual client’s style, their brand, and their stories, exactly they would tell it.

I’m truly blessed to be practicing, and serving, a profession I truly love. I enjoy the entire process from meeting the client, concept and design for the session, the session itself, post production and creative extension of the images, to delivering the finished images and delighting the customer. I can’t possibly call this “work”. I have as much fun as possible (sometimes more) throughout the creative process. My clients are a big part of that process, and are always invited (okay, dragged) in to enjoy some of that fun. You should come join me sometime. It will be well worth the ride, and the images!
